Let me tell you how it will be
Let me tell you how it will be
They came to America in search of a fresh start.
By they, I don't refer to the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. I refer to the rock gods fleeing oppressive British levies to kinder-taxing shores.
Just put on Revolver and there's old George crooning how the taxman will tax your car, should you drive the street and should you take a walk, he'll tax your feet. (Which is why we recommend the trolley, whether you're off to a Pads game or to your 341(a) meeting of creditors.)
The point is that as much as we lament our tax dues, it could be worse. And you'll find that quite surprisingly, bankruptcy can make it a whole lot better. You CAN get rid of some (not all) income taxes when you file for bankruptcy. Clients with tax debt come to us as certain of permanent tax liability as they are certain of death. Hearing there's unexpected tax relief... well, I guess that might make you question whether the grim reaper really does come sooner or later.
How does it work? We have a nifty little formula for figuring out exactly which income taxes we can discharge (cancel) and which ones will remain. So, can you get rid of taxes through bankruptcy? Yes. Sometimes. Ask us how at http://www.bankonitsd.com
